Job Description

Campus Middle School for Girls (CMS) is seeking a Communications & Outreach Director to join our administrative team. In this role, you will use your expert communication skills and fundraising experience to promote the school and attract resources to support our programs.  The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, and organized, with a passion for cultivating excellence and empowering girls.  This position is a part-time role, 20 hours per week, preferably 1:00 – 5:00 PM Monday-Friday.

 

Objectives of this Role

• Promote awareness of CMS’s mission and work

• Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals

• Form strong partnerships with community members

• Nurture relationships with alumni and their families

• Support smooth daily operation of the school

 

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Manage all external communications, including school website, regular newsletters, blog and social media channels

• Strategize and successfully execute fundraising campaigns and events

• Manage the alumni and donor database

• Serve as an Ex-Officio member of the Board of Directors

• Collaborate with the Executive Director and faculty to devise programs and policies to benefit CMS students

• Close the school at the end of each day

 

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications,  public relations or a related field

• A minimum of three years’ fundraising, sales or marketing experience

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills

• Ability to lead and motivate colleagues and volunteers

• Proficiency in managing tasks, planning events and balancing priorities

• Experience working in an educational environment is a plus
