7th grade history students created their own American Girl dolls based on their research of early Native American cultural groups. Students designed authentic clothing and accessories and authored historical fiction stories targeted to 8-12 year olds based on the characters they created. Ally Sehy and Haruka Neiswender volunteered their time to judge the presentations and choose the next “American Girl Doll of the Year”. This year’s winners were Neha Bhargava, and Alice Bell and Cecelia Birdsley. It was a great experience for the students in research, writing, creating, and presenting!
Seriously amazing!
