| Joan Campagnolo became Director in June of 2007. She continues to teach science at Campus Middle School as well as job sharing administrative duties with Cheryl Louviere. Joan sets the curriculum, hires staff, and writes grants in addition to overseeing the daily operation of the school. She is a CMS parent of seventh grader, Zipporah Goldenfeld. |

| Cheryl Louviere became Assistant Director in August of 2007. She has served as CMS's Parent Volunteer Coordinator for 2 years. During this time she organized and/or assisted with various fund raising events, social and community events, as well as coordinating the volunteer commitments by parents to the school. She will continue with all above coordinating and in addition she oversees school-wide field trips and special evening events, such as the talent show and concerts. |

| Candace Weedman is the Administrative Assistant at Campus Middle School She grew up on a farm north of Champaign-Urbana and went to Fisher schools. She received a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Illinois. Candace moved to Dwight, IL and lived and worked there for 25 years. She moved back to Champaign-Urbana in 2004 and has worked at Campus Middle School ever since. Candace has two children: Matt, lives in Boulder, CO and is a photographer; Melanie lives in Joliet, IL and is a secretary at Joliet Jr. College. |

| Maggie Myslisnka is an Administrative Assistant at the Campus Middle School. She is also a student at the University of Illinois, where she studies Computer Science. She is excited to graduate in May '08 after which she plans to travel for a few weeks and then start her job as a Product Manager in Seattle, WA. In her free time Maggie likes to hang out with her friends, watch documentaries and windsurf (harder to do in Champaign, IL). |

| Judy Nolen teaches 6th through 8th grade English. She is a retired teacher from Unit 4 schools. Judy taught English at Centennial High School for 30 years. She earned a Masters of Arts degree in English Literature from Baylor University and her teacher certification from the U of I. |

|
Alfred Hubler is a professor at the University of Illinois. He is the father to six daughters, all of whom have attended CMS. He teaches 8th grade Algebra 1 part 2 at CMS. |

| Eva Kammel teaches Math and Physical Science. She was born in Vienna, Austria, attended the University of Vienna and received a Master degree in Math and Physics, specializing in secondary education, followed by her teacher's training and experience of 15 years of teaching grades 5-12 at a college preparatory school("Gymnasium") in Vienna. In 1994 she and her family moved to the United States due to her husband's appointment first to UC Berkeley, then to UIUC. In Berkeley she taught at a private middle school until she moved to Champaign in 2000. Since then she has been involved in Campus Middle School either as a parent, teacher, administrator or coordinator for projects involving University students. |

| Science | |
| Joan Campagnolo teaches Biology and Chemistry at CMS. She received a BS in Biology in 1984; BA in Psychology in 1986; Masters in Biology in 1988; and MEd. in Elementary Education in 1992. She is certified in the State of Illinois to teach K-9 and in Physical, Life, Earth, and Social Sciences. All degrees were from U of I, Urbana-Champaign. She taught Physical, Earth and Biological Science for the middle school grades at Thomasboro Elementary School in 93/94 and 94/95 school years. She started working as a science teacher at Home Hi (now Campus Middle School) in January of 2002. |

| Spanish | |
| Maria 'Lola' Sanjurjo-Espino teaches Spanish. She received a B.A in Education (Spanish and Modern Languages) from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She also received a B.A (Arts&Science) from the University of Lincoln, NE. She is a certified Spanish teacher (7-12 grades) in the State of Connecticut, and is now in the process of obtaining IL certification. Before coming to Il in 2005, she taught Spanish for five years in CT, most recently at the Williams School in New London, CT. In addition to teaching, she enjoys watercolor painting and gardening. |

| Bertie started at Campus Middle School for Girls about 5 years ago. Brigitte, the founder of the school, asked me to tutor English as a second language to a foreign student. Throughout the years I have been a tutor, paid and volunteer, for English grammar and writing, Spanish, math and the SSAT preparation. I have also substituted for full-time teachers. Currently, I teach one Spanish class and am a volunteer tutor in math and English as a second language. I received my bachelor's in Teaching of English from the University of Illinois and my masters in Reading from the same university. I taught for 16 years in Champaign Unit 4 Schools. |

| Kristine Hightshoe teaches history. Kristine is a retired Champaign Unit 4 teacher of social studies/history. She got her BA from Louisiana State University and her M.Ed. from the University of Illinois. |

| Shikha Pandey teaches Computers II and II. She currently attends the University of Illinois and is majoring in Computer Science. Shalu went to Centennial High School and graduated in 2005. She has lived in Champaign for about 10 years. |

|
Shikha Pandey is the 6th grade Computer Science teacher, and co-teaches the 7th/8th grade Computer Science class as well. This is her first year being involved with CMS, but is enjoying the challenge. She was born in Allahabad, India, moved to Australia when she was around one, and finally moved to Champaign-Urbana and entered first grade. She graduated form Centennial High School and is currently majoring in Computer Science of Engineering at the University of Illinois. |

Music

| Jill Burlingame teaches Recorder and Music Appreciation. She received a Bachelor of Music Education from Wheaton College. Currently, she is working on a Masters in Flute Performance at the University of Illinois were she was awarded a fellowship in 2004, and subsequently received an assistantship to teach Music Education undergraduates. In addition, Jill teaches flute privately, has been the director the Lombard Mennonite Children's Chorus, taught Kindermusik classes for preschoolers, performed educational concerts in schools with a woodwind quintet, and has been on faculty at multiple summer music camps, most recently at the Illinois Summer Youth Music camp in Urbana. Jill is also in the process of becoming a certified Alexander Technique teacher. |

| Fine Arts | |
|
Cheryl Louviere has taught Fine Arts classes at CMS for 2 years now. Cheryl received her BFA in Art Education from the University of Illinois, graduating with the Outstanding Art Education Student award for that year. She is certified in the state of Illinois to teach art K-12. She has taught in both public and private settings during the last 20 years, including work with Champaign Public Schools, private lessons through the Rainbow Workshop program in her home, as well as various child/family organizations in the community. Her primary training in studio arts is drawing and painting. Cheryl is also a certified Montessori Directress and has taught with Montessori schools in Illinois and California. Her experience with Montessori complements our own CMS philosophy of trusting the student's passion and ideas as they develop their creative and visual skills. |

Debbie Derr Weaver teaches the new 7th grade quilting class. Debbie received her BFA in Commercial Arts from Texas State University. She lived in Colorado and worked as a graphic artist for seven years. Moving to Urbana, she worked at Chanute Air Force Base as a computer graphic artist and has been a professional seamstress since 1993. She has taught numerous sewing seminars at University Primary and Yankee Ridge schools. Her quilting work has been recognized and awarded for its creativity and local ties to the community. She enjoys having the opportunity to share her knowledge with the next generation. |

| Nancy Delcomyn teaches 6th grade knitting. Nancy started knitting when she was in 6th grade girls scouts and has never stopped. She has taught knitting for the past twenty years. |

| Ray is a retired teacher from Mahomet. He taught in Mahomet for over 25years. He started knitting in his youth and has never stopped. For the last 5 years he has taught knitting at CMS |

|
Christine Sevec-Johnson teaches drama. She is a trained professional actress with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and Communications from Temple University in Philadelphia PA, and a Master of Fine Arts from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, CA. Christine acted professionally in regional theatre up and down the west coast and in an Off-Broadway production written specifically for her. Christine began teaching in the university system of Southern California while she was acting in San Diego. She came to Champaign Urbana to teach voice and speech for the actor at the University of Illinois. Christine currently works from her home as a free-lance voice coach and custom cake decorator. She is a happy partner to her husband Professor Brian K. Johnson, and a proud mother to her treasures, Alex and Andrew. |

Joel Beesley is teaching his 13th year as the Head Coach at Uni High. Most recently, the 2007 squad clinched their third straight conference title and won 15 games. A teacher at Uni High, Mr. Beesley has taught Home Hi/CMS girls PE for the past 8 years. |

| Volleyball | |
| Julie Cary is the Head Volleyball Coach for the 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Illinois State University in Psychology and is currently finishing her Master's degree at the University of Illinois in the School of Social Work. Julie has extensive knowledge and experience with the developmental needs of adolescents. She also enjoys creating a team environment while watching the girls' physical skills and volleyball fundamentals improve. |

| English as a Second Language | |
| Grace Choi is currently a tutor at CMS. She is also a senior in International Studies at UIUC with a minor in Sociology. She was born in Chicago, and grew up in the suburbs. After graduation, she hopes to get a job overseas as a English tutor if she decides not to stay in Chicago. |
